成份 Valproate Na
適應症 Generalized & partial seizures, petit mal, febrile convulsions, behavioural disorders withepilepsy.
用量 400-1200 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses.
美國食品藥物管理局之懷孕等級 Category D: There is positive evidence of human foetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk (e.g., if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective).
禁忌 Severe hepatic disease. Avoid concomitant administration of carbapenem antibiotics. Pregnancy.
注意事項 Hepatic impairment or history of liver disease. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. Regular monitoring of hepatic function. Monitor renal function & blood count in long-term therapy. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
不良反應 Blood disorder. Drowsiness, coordination disturbances, headache, insomnia, instability, paresthesia, tremor, dizziness, GI disturbances. Elevated liver enzymes. Alopecia, rash. Fatigue, nocturia, nasal bleeding, dry mouth, edema, menstrual irregularity. Rarely, acute hepatitis including severe liver damage, jaundice & fatty liver. Disturbance of consciousness associated with hyperammonemia. Interstitial pneumonia, Fanconi syndrome. Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Encephalatrophy, dementia, parkinsonism.

交互作用 Avoid administration with carbapenem antibiotics eg. panipenem, betamipron, meropenem,imipenem & cilastatin. Caution use with benzodiazepines, phenobarbital, phenytoin,carbamazepine, ethosuximide, salicylates, diazepam, warfarin, erythromycin, cimetidine.
