柏子仁單方注射液可使貓的慢波睡眠深睡期明顯延長，並具有顯著的恢復體力作用。
Actions & Indications主治﹕
Insomnia with irritability, palpitations, instant sweating due to deficiency, neurasthenia, constipation, weak memory, losing hair.
養心安神，潤腸通便，補心脾，潤血脈，滋 養強壯，益血止汗。
虛煩失眠，心悸怔忡，神經衰弱，體 虛多汗，腸燥便秘. 記憶力弱，脱髮。
Chemical ingredients化學成份﹕
contains 14% of fat, small amount of evaporating oil, and saponin.
含脂肪油約 14% ，並含少量主要油 (揮發油)，皂甙。 
Dosage用量﹕
10 to 20 g. Concentrated extract: 0.5 to 2 g.
10～20克；濃縮中藥：0.5～2 克
Modern Research現代研究﹕
Losing hair due to  xue xu (blood deficient):bai zi ren, dang gui of equal amount, make into pills. Take 9 g each time, 3 times per day with good result.
Other: It is also being used  to treat variant angina (Printzmetal angina), sleep walking, male mania.
臨床研究：據報道，以柏子仁，當歸等量制丸，每次9g，每日三次，治療血 虛之 脫髪，效果滿意（全國中草藥新醫療法展覽會資料選編，1972，373）。另有用柏子仁等治療變異性心絞痛，夢游症，男性臟躁証等。
Toxicity & Cautions毒素與禁忌﹕
Contraindicated in loose stool and phlegm disorders. Some traditional writings mentioned that it is not compatible with ju hua.
便溏或有痰者忌服。傳统著作中有說柏子仁畏菊 花。
Note: variant angina or Printzmetal angina  is the chest pain occurs at rest, presumably due to coronary artery spasm, a sudden constriction of a coronary artery depriving the heart muscle of blood and oxygen.
註：變異性心絞痛是指心絞痛發作時，患者在休止狀况而冠狀動脈發生痙攣而導致完全或幾乎完全性管腔閉塞，造成透壁性心肌缺血與缺氧。
