Actions & Indications 主治﹕
Forliver-kidney yin deficient , dizziness due to xue xu (blood deficient), achy muscles and joints, chronic hepatitis, blood in stool or bleeding hemorrhoids, hemorrhoids.
肝腎陰虚 ，血 虛頭 暈，筋骨酸痛，慢性肝炎，腸風 (便血），痔疾。

蒽醌類 （anthraquinones）:大黃素（emodin），大黃酚 (rheumemodin)， 大黃素甲醚（emodin monomethylether），大黃酸，（rhein），大黃酚蒽酮（rhaponticin）及卵磷脂 (lecithin)， 芪三酚甙（polydatin） ，鞣質 (tannin)，穆坪馬兜鈴酰胺（N-trans- feruloyl tyramine），N－反 式阿魏酰基-3-甲基多巴胺（N-trans-feruloyl 3-methyldopanine），2-甲氧基-6-乙酰基- 7-甲基胡桃 醌（2-methoxy-6-acetyl-7-methyljuglone） 。
Root and stem: 根和根莖含蒽醌類 （anthraquinones），（炙過後無大黃酸 after baking does not contain rhein），澱粉 (starch) 45．2% ，粗脂肪(crude fat) 3．1％，卵磷脂 (lecithin) 3．7％等。
Dosage 用量﹕
10 to 20 g; concentrated extract: 0.5 to 2 g.
10～20克 ；濃 縮中藥：0.5～2.0克 。

Use with care in cases of mania with strong pattern and heat.
